The history of Creative Candles is the stuff from which dreams are made. The company, which started as a spark of inspiration over 45-years ago, has earned a world-renowned reputation and loyal clientele that now reaches from America to Japan to Saudi Arabia and beyond.
From the start, Creative Candles was dedicated to Old World artistry and handmade quality. Originally founded in 1961 by an architect and his wife in the basement of their home, the company filled a void in the marketplace. They had searched for hand-dipped taper candles and could not find them. In addition, they discovered that other people were looking for them too.
Today, Creative Candles continues to use the formulas and handcrafted techniques that the founders researched, developed, and mastered through four decades. The company's elegant tapers are nearly 40 inches tall and available in 47 colors; they are among the tallest in the world.
These tapers have graced tables at the White House, Lincoln Center, The Waldorf Austoria. The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong, countless weddings, galas, dinners for royalty, celebrity parties and numerous special events.
While the tall tapers have become a signature item, they are only the tip of an astounding selection. Creative Candles also offers ball candles, floating candles, votives, fragranced pillars, non-fragranced pillars all offered in a palette of colors to complement the taper line.
